In most of the reviews that I have been reading before I bought this product, they all stated about it's durability.
It's holding up to my pounding of keys while I'm gaming. The keyboard it self sit's in a flat position, making for a very steady keyboard while gaming. 6 point's of gripping power on a flat surface. The keyboard it-self is very sturdy in design.

The master volume of Windows is controlled by one large nob as well as the brightness of the keyboard back lighting on the other nob. Their are Audio button sets for play-back control and sound.

It's clear that Microsoft's X6 keyboard is designed for gaming through and through the $179 price tag points to that and to be honest, you'd be off your head buying this keyboard just to type emails, check the internet and play the odd game of solitaire. The keys feel nice to the touch, and I was able to touch-type with them despite the fact that they're not full-sized keys like you'd find on a keyboard like you'd use in the office they're sort of between what you'd find on a laptop and desktop PC. The keyboard continues to wear its gaming moniker on its sleeve even down to the slightly more illuminated W, A, S and D keys, commonly used by gamers to more easily control a character's forwards, back, and sideways movements in a darkened environment. The X6 features keys for multimedia playback (fast forward, rewind, play/pause etc) as well as a quick-launch key that opens Windows Vista's games explorer or the keyboard control panel. It would be a useful function in games like World of Worldcraft or games with huge worlds to explore and your character has to walk miles between locations. You press down the key you want together with the cruise control button and the function will keep going until you press the cruise control button again.
